“She was such a beautiful soul” – Mercy Aigbe, Bimpe Akintunde, others mourn Miliki express presenter in orisun fm Lara Olubo

Nollywood stars like Mercy Aigbe, Bimpe Akintunde and more have mourned the demise of prominent television presenter, actress, fashion designer and singer Lara Odubo.

It was reported that the multitasker died on Saturday, July 28th, 2024. The sad news was made known by blogger Temilola Sobola. Though the cause of her death is unknown, reports claimed that the entertainer had been ill for some days before her passing.

Taking to her Instagram page to mourn her, Mercy Aigbe, who seemed to have been close to her, expressed sadness over her death as she stated that she was still in denial over the news. Bading her farewell, she wrote,

“Hmmm! Life. Still in denial. Adieu Omolara”.

Taking to her comment, the likes of her husband Kazim Adeoti, Bimpe Akintunde, Toyin Adewale and Fausat Balogun joined her in mourning the dead.

Kazim Adeoti wrote, “May her soul rest in peace

Bimpe Akintunde wrote, “Hmmm. Still in shock. RIP, Aunty Lara was such a beautiful soul

Toyin Adewale wrote, “Hmmm. Oga o. Ha, May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace, IJN

Fausat Balogun wrote, “May her soul rest in peace”.

A week before her death, the Yoruba Nollywood industry was mourning as they lost one of their veterans, Dayo Adewunmi, popularly known as Sule Suebebe. The actor died in the early hours of Wednesday morning, June 12th, at an undisclosed hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State. The news of his demise was made known by Ibadan-based cleric Pastor Ademola Amusan, aka Agbala Gabriel, who had been caring for the ailing actor for months.
