Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe and some of her colleagues have come under fire for publicly mourning the death of prominent television-presenter, actress, fashion designer and singer Lara Odubo.
reported that the multitasker died on Saturday, July 28th, 2024. The sad news was made known by blogger Temilola Sobola. Though the cause of her death is unknown, reports claimed that the entertainer had been ill for some days before her passing.
Taking to her Instagram page to mourn her, Mercy Aigbe, who seemed to have been close to her, expressed sadness over her death as she stated that she was still in denial over the news. Bading her farewell, she wrote,
Taking to her comment, the likes of her husband Kazim Adeoti, Bimpe Akintunde, Toyin Adewale and Fausat Balogun joined her in mourning the dead.
This didn’t sit well with some online users who noted how the actress and her colleagues never posted or showed support for the singer when she was alive.
